The Fresh Start Program offers assistance through Work for Shelter to people who are transitioning back into society from incarceration or through recovery programs.

OBJ began in 1967 as a means of providing new blue jeans for children in elementary and middle school. Families make appointments to get new school clothes for their children.

The Seasonal Comfort Program provides heaters and fans for our neighbors in Abilene.

Part of our vision is to help our neighbors grow spiritually. Specifically, to let them know how God loves them and that He gave His only son to pay the price for our sins, rose from the dead and offers a love relationship with us.

In 2015, the Bargain Room was added to the services offered at the Christian Service Center. It is open Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and the first Saturday morning of each month. CSC will sell quality goods at very reasonable prices which do not fit into the donation area, or our neighbors may not need or want.

Through donations and some purchases, CSC is able to help a family stock a kitchen with items that ensure families have the ability to prepare food.

Each year our generous donors give us thousands of toys to help bless the children we serve. The toys are collected and coordinated by our volunteer “Toy Ladies” who organize them on shelves and prepares theme baskets for the children whose families come to CSC for assistance.
